| Global Disciples Welcomes Melissa Herr! August 2009 |

 Global Disciples is excited to welcome Melissa Herr to the Lancaster, PA staff team. Graduating from Messiah College with a degree in sport and exercise science, Melissa served with Mennonite Mission Network in voluntary service as a health and fitness specialist in Brownsville, Texas, where she worked with individuals, families, and schools to promote and develop healthy lifestyle habits. She then worked as a fitness coordinator at Landis Homes, a retirement community in Lancaster, and has more recently served as a design consultant, guiding people in the planning of home and room remodels and interior design. As Promotions Manager, Melissa will be coordinating various Global Disciples events, as well as holding primary responsibility for developing and promoting the Beyond Idols Tour, a Global Disciples initiative scheduled for early 2010. Regarding her new role, Melissa says, “I am excited to serve as Promotions Manager because of the part that I play in promoting and raising awareness of the mission of Global Disciples, as well as all the planning, coordinating and organization that goes along with that.” Melissa and her husband, Jason, live in Leola, Pennsylvania and attend the Worship Center in Lancaster. |
